FAQs
What is nutrition coaching?
We either pay for our health now, or later. I function as your guide to achieving not only your dream physique, but your dream health. As personal trainers are your coach for the hour you spend at the gym, I will serve as your coach the other 23 hours of your day. This program is completely one on one and personalized to you and your needs.
What does a customized nutrition plan entail?
We will work together and make sure that the approach we take fits your lifestyle and schedule. Here at TNC, I use a flexible dieting approach (meaning there are no foods that are “off limits”) while still making food quality the main priority. This way we create sustainability and you don't feel deprived of the foods you love. Things that may be included depending on the individual are: meal frequency and nutrient timing, workout nutrition, individualized calorie and macronutrient targets, periodization, refeeds and diet breaks, supplementation, and a focus on the foundational habits for overall health!
How does TNC work?
This is where the magic lies! We will be doing weekly check-ins where we go over everything from the previous week. We will be addressing, assessing and evaluating things like:
Food Logs, Hunger and Satiety, Nutritional Aderance, Sleep Quality & Quantity, Energy Levels, Digestion & Gut Health, Stress Levels & Stress Management Tools, Menstrual Cycle & PMS, Libido, Gym Performance/Recovery, Wins, Struggles, Questions and other support needed. This is all done on an accountability tracking form.
Outside of weekly check-ins, you have access to me anytime for questions, support, accountability, & anything for that matter!
Everything is individualized based on your specific goals and needs.
You will be expected to track all of your food on an app called Cronometer where I can monitor what and how much you are eating weekly.
Depending on your experience with macro tracking I will start you at one of the levels below, and we will build from there.
Level 1 - Tracking just calories (and food quality of course)
Level 2 - Tracking calories and adding in a protein target
Level 3 - Tracking calories, protein and implementing carb and fat ranges
Level 4 - Tracking calories and all macronutrients with specific targets for each
Why are weekly check-ins so important?
Weekly check-ins are incredibly important not only for keeping you accountable through this process but also for giving me a ton of insight into how you’re progressing, feeling, and looking so that I can make the necessary changes to your program based on your feedback. While I am there to evaluate your data each week, my goal is also to teach you and educate you so that you have the ability to do this on your own in the future. The whole picture is taken into consideration with my coaching. This is much more than just macros!
